The d.school is on Stanford University’s campus, on the second floor of Sweet Hall.

Parking

We have a couple of "A" permit parking lots near the building. Please be sure to arrange for a temporary parking pass prior to your visit. Temporary passes can be obtained either from the Stanford Parking and Transportation office or through your d.school host. Otherwise, parking in Stanford visitor, "A" and "C" lots is allowed after 4:00 PM and on the weekends.

From Highway 101 North & South:
Take the Embarcadero Road exit west toward Stanford. At El Camino Real, Embarcadero turns into Galvez Street as it enters the university. Turn left onto Campus Drive. Continue on Campus Drive to Arguello Mall. Turn right on Arguello, left on Bowdoin and park in either of the lots on your left. Walk up Galvez Street to Escondido Mall. Sweet Hall is on your left.

From Highway 280 North and South:
Exit Alpine Road east toward Stanford. Turn right at the light onto Junipero Serra Blvd. Turn left onto Campus Drive East. Continue on Campus Drive East to Arguello Mall. Turn left on Arguello, left on Bowdoin and park in either of the lots on your left. Walk up Galvez Street to Escondido Mall. Sweet Hall is on your left.

From El Camino Real:
Exit El Camino Real at University Avenue. Turn toward the hills (away from the center of Palo Alto.) As you enter Stanford, University Avenue becomes Palm Drive. Go through one traffic light, and turn left onto Campus Drive at the first stop sign. Continue on Campus Drive to Arguello Mall. Turn right on Arguello, left on Bowdoin and park in either of the lots on your left. Walk up Galvez Street to Escondido Mall. Sweet Hall is on your left.


Driving

From Highway 101 North & South:
Take the Embarcadero Road exit west toward Stanford. At El Camino Real, Embarcadero turns into Galvez Street as it enters the university. Turn left onto Campus Drive. Continue on Campus Drive East until you reach Mayfield Ave. Turn right onto Mayfield Ave. There is a large parking lot one block down Mayfield on the right side. (Parking is $1.50 per hour from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and credit cards, bills and coins are accepted.)

Once parked, walk north towards Tresidder Union which can be recognized by its outdoor tables. Walk with the Tresidder Union on your left side and you will see the post office and bookstore on your right. Turn right and walk towards them. You will enter White Plaza, which centers around a claw-shaped fountain. Walk the length of the post office and bookstore, and turn right directly after the bookstore ends. You will enter a large, grassy court area crossed with sidewalks. Keep walking towards the right. You will pass Meyer Library (on your left), and directly after that you should see Sweet Hall in front of you. The dschool is located on the 2nd floor of Sweet Hall.
